Default DANSK Exhausts?

When I bought my 965 earlier this year, the seller replaced the original heat exhangers (headers?) with new Dansk stainless steel ones.

Various Dansk products seem to be quite popular for Porsches, but I've searched on the internet and can't find any info on the heat exchangers. I'm particularly interested to know if Dansk claim any performance gains over stock.

EDITED: It seems that Dansk may have been a OEM for Porsche and the stainless steel version is the same as the original (mild steel?). So I assume they perform identically to the originals except no deterioration as they are more resilient to corrosion.

Cheers.

You will get slightly more power due to less heat dissipation.

Thanks Nathan, I remember we discussed this before.
Strange that I can't find anything about their heat exchangers on the web, even their own danish website. maybe they have stopped making them?

That is odd. As far as I know they are great replacements parts. They are just not performance orientated. I think I would still notify my insurance company though as they are not OE parts.

Do you happen to have a link to any companies that have these heat exchangers listed? I've tried eurocarparts but they don't appear to have any heat exchangers for the 89-94 911; only earlier.

Is the 965/T2 heat exchanger a different part number from the C2/C4?

You could try ringing the garage that fitted them, although I am in dispute with them so don't mention me. PM me for their details.

My usual garage, JAZ will know where to get some.
http://www.jazweb.co.uk/ These are good guys. Mention me to the main man there, Steve.
