Default Which rear turbo emblem?

The previous owner to my 1991 911 Turbo had removed the rear turbo emblem. I was wondering which one is the correct emblem? Is it the black turbo one or is it the silver turbo emblem (which is used on the Turbo 3.6 also).

I'd like to put it back but wanted to make sure I used the correct one.

Thanks,
will

The correct one is the black, but personally I think the silver looks better.

The 1991 3.3 had a small logo usually in black but sometimes in silver (like alluminium, not chrome) like on my black car.

The 1993 3.6 and later (993, 996) had chrome and larger (looks nice). I'd say just go for whichever one you like.

What colour is yours now?

BTW hellpop, your first post, welcome. Now you must post some pics for us to see!!

What is the best way to remove the rear logos. I would love to clean and wax in the lettering.

To remove use floss under the adhesive and floss your way across.

I heard hot air (eg. hair dryer) makes it easier to remove...

Default ok. I need to get some real pics

I've been lurking here for some time. I purchased this car last September but I don't really have any good pics. I hope to correct that in the next few weeks.

Here's what I have:

Do it...but be prepare to spend about an hour by the time you clean up the residue, buff, wet sand, polish and wax....especially if your car is black. But, the finished result is great!!

Hellpop,
Nice. Another black one!
Looks like Ruf wheels? Any other mods?

Tailwag,
Have you left the logo off now?
Nice tailpipes btw.

PS: My car is currently without logo, had some paintwork done so left it off. Tempted to order the chrome one (like the 3.6 and later).

The car has some mods. B&B headers and exhaust are the main ones besides the Ruf wheels.

I think the chrome one definitely looks better on the black & dark blue cars.. go for it!
