Sonny, can you tell the difference between Zermatt Silver and Polar Silver? I understand that Zermatt Silver is more like white than Polar Silver.

First pic at the beginning of this thread is definately coral red as is the later post by akkaporn (also my car). The ambient light plays tricks with the colors. The paint is a metallic that can goes from everything from a reddish copper in full sun to a burgandy at twilight.

Which website listed it as Velvet Red?

Zermatt Silver has a gold or champage (sp?) tint to it.

Polar Silver has a blue tint to it. One of the colors I really like.

Artic Silver (like on 996/997) is very flat and more of a neutral silver.

Can't remember what website is it, but it relates to the registry of porsche 964.

Looks like Oak Green Metallic for the top one & either signal or viper green for the 993 RS.

I know it's not a turbo, but here's mine - it's a one off colour to sample (code L999).

Some of these colors are not listed as standard or optional colors. Some were special order color to sample.

JBH, the first picture looks like the shop in the back of High Marques in Morristown, NJ. Is that where you purchased your car from?

All the purlescent colors which were special order only change color depending on light. My car changes from darkish blue to light to almost pinkish depending on the angle of the sun. It is usually very hard to capture on film and the pictures never do any of these colors justice.

I don't know if it will show up but here are several different pictures of Cobalt in different lighting. Like JBH's car it takes on a totally different look depending on light.

The first is under fluorescent the second in the shade the third is starting to show how it turns purple pink (not very good example) and the last in direct sunlight. None of the pictures trully look as they do in real life but it shows the differences.

BTW that green is an interesting color I would be interested what it is called also. Looks almost like a forest green.

I also found out that the fans in our engines are painted Zermatt silver. So this is one way of telling what Zermatt looks like.

Indeed.

Cobalt, this is a picture of 964 Dark Forest Green. It doesn't look like the 965 Green above. May be there are two forest green, dark forest green and just forest green.

To be honest the second picture looks like it might be closer to the picture above. It can be very hard to tell because these colors take on such different characteristics depending on lighting.

I think both are nice.

I find the funniest color green to be Amazon Green. My GTS is in that color and I love it but everyone always comes up to me and says what a pretty blue car. When I tell them it is actually green they find it hard to believe. It actually turns about 5 different colors from black to teal to green to blue depending on the light and angle.
