Thanks guys. Here is a pic of the interior - and no wood! I think the car may have been ordered by
prince Jefferies - the Sultans brother - who had better taste! I will be writing to Porsche for a build sheet etc. , and post more details later.Does anyone know how many X88 went into regular cars?

Mark especially has been trying to figure out what happened to a number of X88 engines. If you figure it out let us know.

BTW she is gorgeous. Best of luck and miles of fun.

John,

great car, 10,000 miles is just run in for you to enjoy.

911 and porsche world has had an article on a green X88 in the non flat nose configuration. Anyone no of any other non flat nose with the X88 option?

I read an article somewhere on the web that said how many X88's went to non S variants. I'll try to dig it up.

That is one great looking toy! Too bad they put the steering wheel on the wrong side!

the problem Roadkill, is that it isn't just an aesthetics issue. The cars run worse, have less power, boost is impoverished, with these crazy mod of putting the wheel on the right hand side!?

How many X88 went into regular cars?

"According to the factory, 155 (X88 option) engines were built. Ninety-three of these engines went into the Turbo S cars and the other 62 engines are not specifically accounted for. Assumably they went into standard turbo models as an option and/or were sold to customers for race applications".

John,
seriously now. Want to trade with my BLACK 3.3? To even things out in terms of costs, we could meet somewhere between France and Spain, say Bordeaux, swap the damn things, have a pint or two, and go our separate ways....?
I may even forget my downside in the deal, Blue Horizon x black, but ok.....

What say you?

Thumbs up

Oh boy , i might never be able to trade this car until im too old to drive it! Anyways im too lazy to clean black everyday! Im slowly working my way through the car looking for jobs to do.Ive been searching the forum for answers to newbie questions, you guys may help where i get stuck.

For example, should there be a loud buzz from the dash with the ignition on - maybe a fuel pump - it stops once the car fires up.

John,

You've got a real problem there - probably fatal to the engine. Tell you what, I'll take the car off your hands for wholesale so you won't get stuck with a big repair bill. I'm just that kind of guy.

p.s., They all do that!
