Just wanted to ask as a prospective 1994 965 buyer. Where am i to find the VIN # on the chassis for the year and model. If you could be ULTRA precise as i have looked for this on google and found explanations like "look near the bulkhead" which I just don't understand.

It's usually the top number on the inside of the hood sticker and starts with WP0AC296XRS480###



If the sticker is missing, the hood has been most likely been replaced/repainted, etc....

 

OK great how about any other locations that are unseen etc. I think theres a few spots they put it to protect from thing like 1991 3.3l being sold as 94 3.6l
