I agree, a 993TT has around 400hp/ftlbs and weighs around 3300lbs.

My 965T was dyno'd at 460hp/ftlbs and weighs around 3100lbs. That was before the Garrett Turbo and Borla Exhaust/headers/wastegate and Injector upgrade. The car has a hell of lot more power now.

Thank you

The way I see it any car can own any car..it's just a matter of how much one is willing to spend on mods. The thread is about racing anything exotic..so let's keep it going..

BTW... i did race a modified Dodge srt 4 ( though not exotic ) he was very fast. no.. he did not own me but he was keeping up.. hence the begining of my statement.

My point of this thread is just what have you run up against. Its not my porsche is better then your porsche. I just wanted to see the league of cars that can run with ours.

You guys are gonna hate me for this, but at Santa Pod drag strip last year I saw a early 911 with a 993 GT2 look and a 965 S motor in it. It also had cryogen blowing on the IC.
Anyway it got raped by a 911 turbo Covin Replica (f/glass replica) with a V8 engine in the front.

My 911 turbo with 964 3.8RS look with a stock engine got raped by a crappy old mini. However the mini did have a Toyota MR2 Turbo engine in it.
My car did however **** off a guy with a Skyline. He wasn't happy when I told him my 13.1 1/4mile, his was higher.

OK this is OT but...
According to flat-6.net a 993TT weighs 3491# and has 398 ft/lbs for a .1140 power to weight ratio.
A T 3.6 weighs 3241# and has 384 ft/lbs for a .1184 ratio.
The hp numbers are .1168 for the TT, .1095 for the T3.6 BUT...with a 22% drivetrain loss compared with 16% (guesses) it comes out to .0899 for the TT and .092 for the 3.6 so why is the TT faster? Better aerodynamics? Better traction and less wheelspin?
Also, why do the Turbos weigh so much more?

Yea great thread- just good to see what you guys have come up against. Now most of the time is sooo close anyway and its not a real competition...

In my old 3.3 I had a new C2 accelerate in front of me but I kept up with him no problems.... another time another new C2 (these guys!) was chasing but I was breaking away from him - I think my thick smoke also go in his way
A more fun time was on the motorway late at night doing about 80, I pass a Ferrari Tesstarossa crusing.... but he thought he would have a go and so he came accelerating beside me... I waited for his approch and put my foot down (in fifth) and it was so neck and neck but I just crept forward and then we ran out of road... good fun... the guy then drove by and gave his thumbs up- that was cool!

In my new baby I have had no challengers yet! Cant wait to go EFi......

My experience is that a stock 993tt and a stock 3.6t are about the same speed on the track.

I had my **** handed to me by an 04 E55 on my way to Laguna Seca. From 50-130 the car was 2-3 cars infront of me and still pulling away. We followed eachother from LA to Laguna Seca. Stopped at in & out for chow and got a chance to see what I was up against. The owner (nice guy) said the only modifications to the E55 were 2nd cooler for the S/C a smaller pulley and ECU from an S55. To say the least, the car was a frieght train on the highway. Very impressive. Good fun.

If we were in the twisties he would not have a chance!

Add a Ferrari 360 to the list as of around 2hrs ago. Mid 30's fella with a his wife/gf with him, it happened at a red light, he was revving. He nailed it but once I hit 2nd gear I reeled him in quick and jetted past him pretty easily. I let off at around 100mph and was probably 2-3 cars ahead. When it was over I noticed I had my boost switch down so I was running at .8 bar and not a full 1 bar. The car has alot more power at 1 bar.

Well my buddy purchased an 05 BMW M3( competition package ). He went ahead added headers/exhaust, intake and race software. He kept bugging me for a race so being the good friend that I am I gave in...we did a couple of roll starts..he was very surprised at what a twelve year old car can do or did. At the end of it, all he said was one of my tail lights look dimmer than the other one..lol

Oops I see the 3 now. You never know about the 5 though; it weighs 700 lbs. more than your car.
