Default Stone Guards Standard on 1992 Turbo's ?

Hi:

Just purchased a '92 Turbo. It has no stone guards on the wheel arches. I ordered them from the dealer, but were they a standard fitment ?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they were standard on all cars.

Note: Dealer's supply might be very old stock from way back. The quality of the material is questionable. It is not as good as today's 3M's newer material.

Regards,

Sonny

Yes congrats on the new purchase, welcome aboard and post some pics and info.

The car came with the stone guards as everyone said and as Sonny mentioned the stock is either old or old generation film.

I have a guy here in NJ that has copied the original design (nobody other than Porsche makes this exact shape and he cuts it in the new 3M film. The new film is far superior less noticeable and will not yellow as the older films do. Besides he installs it for about the price of a factory kit which you will need to install and may mess up trying to.

I have the new 3M film all over my car after removing the old style film and people are amazed how they cannot see it or how chip free my paint is.

Pm me if you would like his number although he is quite busy right now doing a bunch of F430's.
