19" Wheel fitting issue
I need some wheel advice! At the moment I have some 19" cragraphics on my 964Turbo (8.5J and 10J) - they are standard. But ive just got hold of some fully polished ones (8.5J and 11J) as I like polished ones better and the rears are wider- which is what I needed- I am modifiing my rear arms to fit the 11J wheels and 315tyres in. Hower the new fronts are a problem as the offset is 46 vs 28 I think which will make the fronts stick out roughly 18mm too much -too much even with the rolling the wheel arch lips.
So I am looking for a viable solution.... I was thinking either:
1) Can I get the new fully polished offset changed by a good UK wheel person. if anyone knows anyone who I could try?
2) I can keep the front old non polished ones and get them polished instead.. again if anyone knows someone who could do that?
3) Is there a futher way of modifing the fronts to fit, apart from rolling wheel arch lips and camber adjustment?
The only troulbe with no.2 is that I wont have a matching set of wheels to sell on! i.e the rears wont be polished (unless i get them done as wheel- but maybe the costly option)
Cheers alot for any help
Just have the old fronts pollished and send the new rears with the old fronts so they can match up the shine. The quality of shine varries from place to place, so it would be a good idea to do that, although not completely neccessary.
