Mine were refurbed by Speedline themselves and they are " Not allowed" under some licence with Porsche to re-etch the "Speedline for Porsche" on them.

I did think about getting some stickers made up but did not bother in the end

Tafkai - You are correct. There is someone in the UK who can refurb the split rim speedlines and replace the Speedline for Porsche logo. Apparantly they look good and are a reasonable price.

How much does it cost in US or UK for a new set of speedline if you order from the factory ? I have ask my dealer that they are able to order a set for me and it is around USD$4800 ?

I think the price you were quoted is less than half of what my insurance company paid for a set for my car about a year ago.

Chaps correct me if i am wrong but is the UK place you are thinking about just providing stickers with "Speedline for Porsche" ???

I was only able to find two places that done the refurbs one was the firm i used who are Speedline main dealers and would not even look to do stickers where as the other did the stickers.

$1200/wheel ... wow! If you concours the car, maybe I could see the need for authenticity. Otherwise, that is silly money. I can buy two full sets of Kinesis or RH wheels for the same price.

Anthony - take care of those wheels and get yourself a spare set. I can't imagine the pain of curb rash.

Now I see how expensive these things are can anyone tell me what is the correct way to protect the rims.
I have a few little lines appearing on the polished surfaces and I would like to remove these and ensure no more appear.

The only thing you can do is keep them as clean as possible and make sure they are waxed. They are going to get normal road wear unless you take them off and put them on the shelf.

I would recommend Rejex...not a wax per se, but sure does keep wheels clean.
