Angry after 15k service ?

I just got my car back from the dealer today after the 15k service.
Also, I got the A/C belt replaced as the dealer adviced. Now the
idle is running low and humming noise from the alternator. I
just want to know is it suppose to be like this after the service
or my dealer did somthing wrong ?

How low is the idle? that can be adjusted easily as long as its not a problem elsewhere.
Some humming noise could be the alternator bearings but i wouldnt worry too much until its starts squealing... but it could be fine as its never silent.
But either way, there shouldnt be any different noise from the alt... your idle could be different if they adjust the CO%.
But otherwise take it back to them and tell them it wasnt like that.
Good luck

The idle is running about 450 and my CO used to set it @ 3%. And the dealer
said they did not adjust the CO. Would my CO changed after the valve
adjustment ?

Im not sure if maybe if the adjustment was alot if it would have an effect.
But the only wey is to reset the co and idle. youll need to go to the garage to hook it up... but this is easy enought to do.

If you want to adjust the idle yourselft, it is fairly easy.

There is a big spring loaded screw on the left side of the throttle (behind the IC), all you have to do is turn this screw by hand a little bit at a time and check your idle (while the engine is running fully warmed up). This is assumed everything else on the car is as it was.

Regards,

Sonny

That idle is low.
Agree with Miles, check your CO first.

Is the car running allright, does it sound ok, any difference hot or cold ?
Have you checked the A/C belt, does it flex at all ?

I will take it back to the dealer and let them fix it.
