Aux. cooler goes into driver side front. And you can stack it, but headlight washer bottle will need to move. You really don't need the cooler if you are not going to track the car.

Really, the only other thing you need to watch is your air/fuel. People put in a 1 bar spring, end up running lean and burn a hole in a piston. Any engine that was rebuilt before 80K miles probably suffered a problem associated with running high boost with too little fuel.

The CIS is good upto 470-480 bhp so your fine upto that.

Engine mods I would do to the 964 turbo which should put you around the 450bhp mark:
Drill 8-10 1 inch holes under your airbox and replace the filter with K&N panel type filter
SC or 964 cams
1 bar boost spring
K27HF or K29 turbo
B&B or GHL headers
B&B,GHL or Fabspeed muffler
Set your ignition timing to 24-25 degrees and your CO at 3.5-4%
Lightened flywheel

For added safety I would also buy:
Andial fuel enrichment or send your fuel distributor to Stephen at Imagine Auto to do the fuel head mod
Additional oil cooler, B&B makes good ones with the oil lines

With the above mods which many have, your very safe at 1 bar of boost provided you have adequate fuel, cooling, your engine is in goos shape and you do regular oil changes. If you want more power than you'd have to convert to EFI but trust me 450bhp is good enough for track and sreet racing, it has been for me. Good luck

I know everyone likes the Speedlines, but I have the Rufs. I think they're classic as well and from Weissach they are a good price for originals.

Speedlines and RUF are both very nice wheels but they are pretty heavy too.I think speedlines weigh right around 27 lbs and the RUF approx 28.5 lbs where as Kinesis/HRE/Fikse all weigh under 24 lbs, meaning 12-16 lbs of less rotational mass.

Oh damn! This thread reminded me that I used to have a set of original '94 factory Speedlines in my garage. Last spring I SOLD them to a guy in Canada. It'd would have been nice to have now. Life's all about the . . . timing.

Default Suspension for your 91 C2T

Planning ahead to when you want to upgrade your suspension....

I've got a set of slightly used adjustable Bilstein PSS-9's and/or a set of new H&R lowering springs for sale, for the C2Turbo.

The Bilsteins cost approx $2500 new, my price $1,100. The H&R springs are new, my price $200 for all 4 corners.

Plus shipping, as usual.

(With these, you can have a great suspension for less than 1/2 your estimate.)

Send me an email lwilkins44@yahoo.com, if you're interested.

The Ruf 17 inch rims were manufactured by Speedline Italy.

I put 1.0 bar boost spring, b&b headers and mufflers, and new intercooler hose (13 year old one
gets brittle on the ends and the 1.0 bar will blow it off!). this was an easy (although not cheap)
mod that has very noticable results!. enjoy the accereration and the burbling when you back
off on the the throttle (as well as the flames!!).

Marty,
You'd want to make sure you've turned up your CO.

yes, mine was done by joe jeppson in chanhassen, mn. he currently sevices
about 5-6 ruf btr's, ctr's, ctr sports, etc. I am sure he made any adjustments
necessary, but i appreciate the reminder. I am now on to modding my 993tt
but i wanted to comment on how a couple simple mods "woke up" my 91
c2 turbo, and it ran beautifully. Love the ruf btr by the way!!!!
