refinishing/repainting exhaust tips

Burning Brakes
Had to go way back through my photo library to find these, but here are the original black tips on my car, IMO they are completely lost in the sea of black at the rear end:
OEM black finish
... and here is what they looked like before I finally removed them a year or so ago. They do have a little wear on the paint on the edge now, but all in all, they held up fairly well:
Repainted satin grey/silver

Yes. That's a dirty turbo. It's a fact of life running one over here.

Just for reference to any UK forum members - mine is on 1993 plates which would normally make it a ROW 3.6, but it is in fact a late 1992 production code, so I suspect it sat in a dealer showroom unsold for a good 6+ months until it was registered, and by that time the registration plate scheme had ticked over on to the 1993 prefix ('L' - August 93 - July 94). I would guess it is probably one of, if not the latest registered 3.3 cars in the UK.
For our friends across the Atlantic, in the UK you are allowed to put registration plates on a car that are older than the car, but you are not allowed to put a registration plate on which makes the car seem newer than it is.
