Daneel: Congratulations. Hope the weather wherever you are is better than where I am. You should be enjoying your car under clear skies instead of reading a book while it rains...

Daneel...
Happy Motoring!! Great choice of wheels. Somewhere in 2030.. maybe... you will get tired of that shove-in-the-back acceleration....
Til then... enjoy the rush!
Post some pics!!

Thanx guys
I am loving the car so far
Only problem is that I found out that the car occasional smokes while idling at a traffic light so I have sent it in to be diagnosed so I can see how much it will cost to repair...
As far as modifications planned, I have ordered the xenon hid light kit and also the clear front indicator lenses from neinmeister (hopefully they will arrive soon), and also a techquipment RS wheel and original replacement gearshift from Porsche (my gearshift boot is starting to show a bit of its age). I also plan to modify the occasional idling smoke out of the car
Later I'm keen on the increased boost spring (or controller) and the powerflow (?) induction system and maybe a lowering kit - but it will depend on how much $ I have (if any) after the smoke fix
The only pic I have of the car so far is this small one from the original advert for the car - when it comes back I will take some pictures...
This forum is very very interesting - it has answered most of my questions very quickly and everyone is very friendly
Regards,
Daneel

Daneel,
Have your ride sorted out first on the smoke problem. As far as monds go, I'd do these first:
Drill 9-10 1 inch holes into the bottom of airbox and change to K&N panel filter or you could go for the powerflow
SC or 964 cams
1 bar boost spring
Fuel enrichment-Andial or Lee Rice
Additional oil cooler
Exhuast-B&B,GHL or Fabspeed
Headers-B&B or GHL
K27HF turbo
With the above, set your CO between 3-4% and this should put you in the 450fwhp mark. If you want to be extra sure your running rich, put your ride on a dyno and have it tuned. For me I set CO 3.5% and 3rd step on Andial FEC. I maybe running a little rich but not lean for sure.
Contact Stephen at www.imagineauto.com or Steve Weiner at Rennsport. They are very good with turbos.

Thanx for the info Sameer
I just went passed the agent where my car is being checked out. They said it was just running very very rich and they have adjusted it. They started it for me and now it idles smoothly with no smoke )
I was thinking of starting with the airfilter - would the k&n panel or the powerflow be better? would the powerflow be noisier?
As for the rest - would you suggest them in order? Or can I start with a 0.85 bar spring and then do the rest? Also maybe do the cam last to avoid having to open the engine?
It's really cool to know that the power of the car can go so high means it will keep me entertained for quite some time...

Daneel,
You can go for the boost spring first, just turn up the co between 3-4%. However a 1 bar spring is ok with your CO up,fuel enrichment, additional oil cooler and run good fuel.
Some say the powerflow does not increase power at all but does clear out the engine bay a lot. However the panel filter wth making holes in the airbox sure does help. I'd take that approach now if I were to start from the beginning.

Thanx Sameer
I think I'll go for the K&N then and maybe the 0.85 spring for now.
Do I just call K&N for the panel filter?
Is the 0.85 spring a Porsche part (from the 930)?

Daneel,
Nice car it looks like a twin to mine. I have 42K miles on mine. I recently put a LW flywheel and RS clutch package on mine. It has the 1bar spring and I also have B&B headers and Techart muffler. I am not running cats. I also replaced the stock suspension with HD Bilstiens and H&R coilovers with progressive springs. and lowered to European ride height with a slight rake forward. The car is transformed yet still retains the 'stock' look. There are pictures of it in various threads on this forum if you want to see the finished product. I am also close to having the photos taken during the process, which I will post.
Have fun its an obsession!!!
