So Sad, Thoughts and Prayers with Paul and family.

Everyone take care and go to the Dr, get all recommended testing / procedures done , some are not pleasant but can help with early diagnosis

Default Metal Guru - May you RIP!

This news really saddens me as I had read MetalGuru's posts for many years, and he was always extremely helpful both directly or indirectly via PMs. I always appreciated his willingness to share his knowledge, and his no-nonsense style to get to the point!

I remember hearing that he had just retired in the past year, and so this saddens me even more as I know that he had a long and good career at Ford, and he did not get a chance to enjoy his free time.

May he RIP and my sincere condolences to his family.

Cobalt, thank you for posting and I would be interested in hearing where we can donate or where the services are held, etc.

Paul was a great friend, I spoke with usually in the mornings while having coffee. I knew something was wrong when Paul hadn't returned my texts or calls. I loved that man. He will forever be missed. I cried when I got a text from his wife with the sad news. His posts will continue on, to help future Porsche 964 owners, Even though he is no longer with us, Paul's spirit and legacy will continue to live on in those he helped over the years . He will be deeply missed, but his memory will always be a source of information here on Reenlist. Rest in peace, Paul.

With lots of love and a heavy heart. Helio

very sad to hear. I’ve only had my car for a year but I have read so many of his helpful comments and posts, and he always answered any questions I had.

For what it’s worth a little bit of Paul will live on in my car as he helped me out with a new oil catch can a few months ago.

I say we all get in our cars this weekend and go for a drive. Surely this was one of the things he enjoyed in life.

Sad news…

I wasn’t personal friends with Paul but always appreciated his wealth of knowledge and friendliness on the forum. He was always willing to help out and explain things to less knowledgeable forum members like myself.

RIP and my thoughts are with his family.

So sad to hear about Paul. Prayers for his family. Didn't he just buy new wheels/tires for his Turbo?

New Speedlines, MCS suspension and other bits. His son is taking over the project so I am told. It is still so hard to believe. He was doing so well and then gone.

@cobalt and @heliolps2 if you are in contact with Paul's widower, please let her know that this is an attractive car, with value, and there are friends with no agenda to help if there is any need. And I sincerely hope that Paul's son has interest and keeps the car in the family. We can always help him and keep it going if he needs anything.

wow. I haven't been here much and just learned about Paul. So so so sad. When I got my car 11 years ago he was so welcoming and helpful and frank from the beginning. I never met him in person but I'm sure he was great. He will be sorely missed by many.
