Wow! This is the second time I see another Zermatt Silver in the USA forsale. The other one was a '94 Turbo 3.6 in Panorama.
So far there are 5 Zermatter silver C2Turbos around the world. I just love this color and the fact that it is quite rare.
The car looks good and with very low mileage. I wonder what the reserve price is.

Sonny, are you sure the one you saw in Pano was a 94? I thought I remembered it as a '92. Low milage (under 10k) with a magenta int i think. The reason I remember is that they guy was from NJ and he had it in pano for a while at $62,000 then he lowered it to $55,000 or so and then it sold.

He had a real hard time selling that car. It took almost a year and several price reductions. I believe he started asking $65k. The interior was a custom order and from what I hear it was rather garish. Do you know what the car finally sold for?
Sonny, what is the difference between Zermatt Silver and the other silvers?

Cobalt,
I dont know what it sold for but it sounded like a nice car. I never saw the interior but I bet the main reason for the extended sales time was the over enthusiastic $62k starting point. The highest 92 turbo sale that I've seen lately was listed for approx $56k at Premier. Hard to compare '92 sales as I rarely see them for sale.

There are only some 300+ 92 US turbos the majority of the C2 turbos were considered 91's, over 1000+ sold I believe. I believe the owner thought since the car had only 8k pampered miles on it he would get top dollar. I believe he would have gotten more money for it if the interior was not so harsh. None the less high to mid 50s is not bad.

The '92 Turbo number for the US is 309.
The thing that kind of interesting is that, there are a quite a few of these '91-'94 Turbos with very very low mileage that begins to show up on classified ads.
Zermatt silver was a special order color for '92 model year. The code is 555. It is very different than Polar siver, Artic silver, GT silver. Zermatt silver has a hint of gold/champage color in it. This color was one of the colors offered on the 944 model range way back.
Polar silver, my other favorite silver, has a little hint of blue in it. Artic silver is very flat to my eyes. It does not bring out the curves of the car as well as other silvers. The new GT silver, such as on the Carrera GT, is almost
pure silver with nothing else in it. It only available on the Carrera GT, and on the 50 Anniversary Boxster S.
