On Friday I was driving home from work, my C2 Turbo was almost rear ended by a blonde in a ML SUV. She was on the phone with one hand and tried to get to the left turn only lane at a red light.
I looked in the mirror and I could not believe it, the front of her SUV was just about 1, or 2" away from my left rear. I hit the horn immediately, but I was a little late. I saw she dropped the phone and stood on the brake really hard. She stopped just in time. She even got upset with me because I put my hand out the window and gestured that I was not happy.
I will not drive my C2 Turbo to work on Fridays anymore. I just moved to Santa Ana, the traffic here is just terrible and most people here drive very slow. Maybe it's just me, I am just not used to get stuck in traffic. The thing that bother me is that once traffic starts to move, they drive very slowly with a lot of gaps, and even with no traffic, they drive 5-10 miles below speed limit. This drives me nuts.
Sorry for the rant. I like my new house, but hate everything about this city.

Sonny,
at least thank god she didn't hit you! After any near-miss or acccident, I think we all feel like we should not drive our prized possesions during certain days/hours or on certain routes. Don't let this event get to you - and keep driving and enjoying your Porsche.
Best regards
