When you have a lightweight, low gear, high Horsepower 965 you'll feel more when letting off the throttle.
Couple upgrades. Turbo smart hybrid diverter valve. This allows a % of the pressurized air to be released when closing the throttle. Better design. Also upgrading to the Tial 1 bar wastegate. Hopefully a quick accurate release of exhaust while saving weight. These two features are not welcomed in the collector market. But excellent upgrades for those of us not selling. Then replacing a new faulty fuel pump.

Next is another new interior. Can Can red by Classic 9.

Are you just going with a straight 1 bar spring in the Tial? My plan is to do a 0.7 bar spring with a manual boost control **** so I can dial it up to somewhere in the range of 1 to 1.1 bar as we dyno tune the car.

I think the .7 is for the general public buying these cars so they don't kill themselves. 1 bar is starter performance. We've always been good with it in lightweight low geared 911 turbos. Little risk of damaging the engine.
Back in the day you couldn't even stop these cars with too much boost.

Still can't believe she turned out this good.
I've build so many 911's over the years the value is finally there.

Slight change up with the black hides. But back to Red piping and sport seats, Thanks to Classic nine.

I believe Porsche's early 965 euro deliveries came with airbag deletes. This early 1989 low dash pad allows us 6'2" + drivers to sit with more leg room.
Common in Singer 964's
While deleting the forward lower glovebox I'm adding the rear seat delete from a RS America. Making this piece unique with its popping Red Doors.
I have not figured out how to add a Upper early Glove box as the latch is part of the dash frame.

more legroom might be fine for some taller passengers but what gives a lot of important space is a car without sunroof. Back then when I bought my car in 2007 that was the main criteria in order to have a "roomier" cockpit and extra headspace. I witnessed that approximately 90% of the 964 turbos I looked at came with a sunroof

That is interesting. At least you had the option to choose. We were given little choice here and the sunroof was a standard option. So I had to remove the sunroof from my C2 to get the headroom I wanted.

The US got airbags in 1990 I believe they were optional on RoW cars and came later as standard. Scott how did you source an RSA seat delete. I had one and foolishly sold it for pennies. I still have the NLA seat belt register covers and was going to do that on my C2 but decided I liked having a flat surface for stuff so retained the rear seats. Wish I had kept it. Quite the change from original. I like it.

Yes. Back in 2007 I looked at a nice 964 3.6t aswell, it was only 10k€ more than my 3.3t at that time but I didnt buy it because it had the sunroof ... my car was the first I found without a sunroof and thats the reason I got it.

Scott - tell me about the divertor valve you’re using - and if it’s getting you a little fast and furious turbo noises?
