Wheel change
Hi all,
I run a 1992 964 Turbo 2 3.3 litre fitted with the standard 17" rims (225/50/17 tyres on the front and 255/40/17 rear tyres) I would like to upgrade to some 18" 993 Turbo rims as the 3 piece Speedlines are a little expensive!!
Do any of you know whether they would fit straight on my car??
They are 8Jx18" fronts ET 52 tyres 225/40/18 and 10Jx18" rears ET 40 tyres 285/30/18
Any help would be gratefully received!
Thanks,
Jonathan

That would cause the opposite effect, by using a 15 mm spacer you would effectivly make the offset of the wheel 25mm pushing it further out of the wheel well.
IIRC you need to keep the offset around 50 on the back wheels with an 18x10, but I could be wrong on that i'm still learing the 965, but I do know the 18x10 et 40 would be just outside of the fender.

You can run the 10x18 ET65's that are for the narrow body 993's and 996's. I have these on my '92 C2 Turbo with 285/30ZR-18 tires. They clear the oil line with no problems. The front that go with those are the same 8x18 ET 52 that the widebody 993's use. My Porsche shop tells me that the car tends to "dart" more because of the slightly wider track than the standard 17" tires.
