Default Intercooler suggestions

I realize the C2 intercooler is pretty well designed and works well, but if one wanted to get a upgrade, what would you guys suggest. It would be for a 94 3.6 T motor in a track dedicated car. Suggestions, more importantly prices and who to call to get one would be appreciated. TIA

I have a 3.6T, and its split use, DE and street. I upgraded my stock unit to the Garrettson, and have been VERY happy with the results. I did not get a great deal on it, but it was hard to find. Andial had one on the shelf, I apid close to $2500 if I recall. Kokeln makes a nice unit as well, but I had a bad experience with the company so I did not go that route. While I have no connection with the company, I would call Stephen Kaspar at ImagineAuto for questions. He actually has my car right now, and I bet you could talk him into sending you a picture of the Garrettson. You can reach him at www.imagineauto.com, or call at 913-310-9927.

Bogey1, but your statement that you were "VERY happy" with the new intercooler, should I infer you noticed a seat-of-the-pants improvement with the unit over the stock one?

I did, which suprised me, and may not make a ton of sense. Maybe it was just my wallet wanting to feel it. I had a little more wheel spin in second gear after the unit was installed. I upgraded primarily for summer DE events, which tend to be a little hot/humid around here. I only did one track day after the install last year, and the car truly did keep the power up all day at 1.0BAR without any heat problems. I had previously had to turn it down to .9BAR for track days, but my HF turbo pushed so much air the lowest setting I could dial in on my HKS unit was .95, so I added the deeper IC to help keep it cool/safe. It worked, hence I am a happy camper.
