Default She's back (almost)

Picked her up yesterday! What a difference from before. The gears are a little weird though, I found myself shifting much earlier but it felt so much quicker. The cams really kick in at 4000 rpms. But we are experiencing a mis fire at 5000rpms. My tech put about 300 easy miles on it. But gave me the green light to jump on the boost last night. 1st gear was fine 2nd however started to hicup (little backfires (2 or 3) up to 5500rpms) during full throttle and 3rd did the same thing. So, they disconnected the o2 sensor and enriched the fuel but the problem persited. It felt like the car had a slight rev limiter. It rev'd fine all the way up to 4500 then started acting up again. I returned the car today to get it dialed in, hopefully she should be back next week. Stay tuned!!

Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?

Hey there,

Have your tech make sure your overboost protection is not kicking in....it will shut off the fuel pumps momentarily..and give you the hickup you are experiencing...

1st gear does not build boost like 2nd and 3rd do, so that would explain why it only happens there....

Good luck

Hi there,

Well, the overboost switch may be defective...or for some crazy reason it's overboosting....

This is only speculation, there may be other issues with ignition or fuel...so have your tech dig in and eliminate the possibilities...

Cheers
