Going to be selling my stock '92 Turbo wheels, and replacing them with
3.6 wheels. Although I have not seen them yet, I've been told by
Porsche that they are perfect and without any marks at all. Still have
plenty of tread left on tires as well. (dunlop sp sports)
Anyone interested?

David,
Have you bought the 3.6 rims yet? If not have you located a pair? They are very hard to come buy and rediculously expensive. Might want to verify availability before you sell the 17's.
Just thought you should know. By the way what happened to keeping it simple?

Simple my dear friend is "simply" not in my vocabulary!! I'm sure I don't
have to tell you...
The wheels that I am getting are the RH's which I believe are readily available. They are a 3 piece exact replica... I will be adorning them with so3's...![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think $1,400 for my wheels is fair. What do you think?

i'm going to say that 1400 is aiming a bit high, if you can get it more power to you, but I would think 1100 to 1200 would be more likely and even then you are trying to find the right buyer.
The older porsche 17's (993 Cup, C2 Turbo wheels) tend to go for 1k w/ tires.
The cheapest porsche OEM 17's tend to go around 700 - 800 w/ tires (these are the 996 ugly twist, some of the boxster wheels).
The most expensive seem to be going for 1400 dollars, but these are the new 10 spokes, and a few of the other more attractive wheels.
Take my advice or leave it, but I buy and sell a lot of wheels so I tend to have a good grasp on the market.

Well, you would know better than me... Checked the new price from porsche, and they are $724 each. I am assuming that is without the painted centers. Also spoke to wheelenhancement.com which is where
I got the $1,400 number from. Doesn't seem so bad considering replacement cost.
Anyway, all offers would of course be considered...
Thanks again for the info,
David

David,
Wheel Enhancement is a very good place to go get wheels, but for these old OEM wheels their prices are a little higher than a individual can get, ebay is a good gauge of wheel prices and I have seen a couple sets of C2 Turbo wheels go on there in very good condition one for 1000, and the 2nd for 1100, and there is a third set at 900 dollars with a day to go.
You may get 1400 if someone really wants those wheels, don't get me wrong because it is possible, hell if you not in hurry to sell register for the rennlist classifiedes and just keep putting them of for sale, given enough time your odds just get better.

Ian,
I was really just trying to find out what they were worth. I would take
$1,200 for them if you know of anyone who is interested. Really don't
have the room for them...

David,
I'll ask around for you, the OEM wheels are great upgrades for the 944's or early 911's, nice and light compared with the replica stuff.
If I find anyone, i'll direct them to PM you, I normally buy wheels a bit cheaper that need some help, or someone really needed to move.

There's one more thing to consider:
The 8&9.5" rims of the Cup were available as an option for the 3.3 964.
If straight 6's wheels are the wide version, then they are worth much more.
