Default Changing the clutch

Did a test run with my car today after some mods.

Found out that I need to change my clutch.
Anyone done this themselfs ?
I heard it's difficult on these cars and I don't want to take any chances.

What parts do I change, and how much do they cost ?
Also interested to hear how much a Porsche shop charge to change it.

Staffan,
I just had my stock set up replaced. I fund once the engine and transmission was out that the crankshaft seal and the transmission input shaft seal were leaking and the clutch was 'oiled' as well as being worn. I have switched to a lightweight set up, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate ,T/O bearing parts $2,105 labor $1,062. I also added HD bilstiens and H&R coil over springs and B&B headers. When they pulled the engine it was fond that the rear engine mounts were shot also $256 ea, along with some hoses and seals. She has 41K miles so age and rubber prove once again not to mix! There is no additional mechanical noise inside and she runs like a bat out of hell!! The sound is awesome it also has 4" Tech Art mufflers.
Hope this helps,
Maverick

Maverick
While my car was in the shop for service about a year ago I asked them to check my clutch. It had oil on it so they cleaned it but didn't change anything. Could be a leak I have as well.

I would like to have the light weight setup as well, will check this out.
Thanks great information.

My car also had oil in the clutch and was replaced with the lightweight setup. Total cost was very similar to mavericks. About 4000 dollars.

I, too, want to go with a lightweight clutch setup. What is the best way to go?

Sorry I was back in the UK for a holiday. I have a Saches(sp) set up Lightweight flywheel, clutch with bolts, ring gear, pressure plate clutch disc Throw out bearing. It is basically the RS set up. I also replaced the Master and slave cylinder and the clutch hose. The hose is a rubber hose with a braided cover. My cover was worn at the connection which allowed the hose to swell and impair the effectiveness. The seals leaking oil onto the disc didn't help either!
I hope to get the photos soon, so will post when I have them.
