$400k?
Wish I'd bought a 3.6 back in 2006 when I bought my car.
Someone would really have to want a 3.6 to pay that. There's lots of other cars that come into the picture at that price.

Never said it was realistic but the signal green sold for $320k + fees a few weeks back and it had full respray of the front end so who knows.

I'm not throwing stones here. No harm in asking for that price.
Are you referring to the Signal Green one that went to Sweden a few years back?

You gotta really want this car for 400 large!! And its not original which is the only way it could come close to getting this kind of money. Stop and think for a minute what cars you could but for $400, of course if I just won powerball, who cares

He is negotiable and the owner isn't listing it. I have seen other cars with modified interiors and as we pointed out the green car had a lot of paintwork and sold for strong money. The interior could always be converted back but it has original paint. I can't think of much I would rather have but I wouldn't pay $400 either. People are paying 7 figures for turbo S's that I could have purchased years ago for $130k. A 92 turbo S sold for $2mm so anything is possible.

very rare option is the supple leather SPORT seats. only a hand full were made. i own a 91 turbo with this option - this is the second i see beside mine....!
the price is high - but hey, you can order 1000 new speedsters at that price each. and will find only a hand full of 964 turbos in this condition. this is something special.

Not trying to be argumentative but 964 and 993 sport seats were not offered by the factory in supple leather...the cobalt car car mentioned here that is for sale has modified seats. I believe if you check your option codes and if you are knowledgeable on the codes etc you will find that if you have 964 factory sport seats with supple leather they have been modified as well....that is why you have only seen two sets...your set and the set in the cobalt car listed for sale....there may be a couple others around but they have been modified after they left the factory as well.

Yes as a Z code sonderwunsch (special wish) option but not as a standard production option which was what I was referring to...but yes you are correct it appears as far as your car goes.....the cobalt car for sale has modified seats however, I have seen the codes. In the old days with “special wishes” if it physically could be done, it was legal, you were willing to wait, you were willing to pay and most importantly they were in a good mood at that moment it could be done. Some cars for the Middle East had solid gold shift *****, Chris Evert the tennis star had a black 930 with exotic skin seats, the list goes on and on.

I agree and I believe I mentioned either here or the other thread these seats were modified from original along with the rootwood bits removed. I have a lot of documentation on this car from it being for sale about 13 years ago and all the pictures of it in stock form. There are also a number of photos that have been lingering around the internet. The seats were standard supple leather. IMO when you look at the interior now vs 13 years ago what was done was an improvement but doesn't mean the price is warranted. I know the owner will take less but how much I don't know.
