Rear screen mounted brake light

You really think so?
The cyclops does a good job to block the view of what is a very small window to start with. Try looking for a cop when you out hooning it up.
The 993 integrated spoiler/brake light is a much more elegant solution.

The 1989 Carrera 3.2's had the same light mounted at the base of the windscreen. IMO a much better location.

The one I'm referring to is the light that sat up in the recess of the back window near the roof, in the space that used to be the exhaust vent are for the interior on the previous generations of 911.
The problem becomes that to really have it look correct, one would need the RS rear glass that doesn't have the bonded black CHMSL (Center High Mounted Stop Lamp, the technical term used to describe a 3rd brake light, in case anyone was wondering ) surround on it.

I like the cyclops light because it dates the car well to its era. I installed convex mirror glasses (standard on euro cars) which helps with smokey bear sighting/general visibility.
ps, our cars are turning 25 and I just had mine switched to a classic policy at State Farm. Save some $ and let your carrier know.
