964 Turbo S with powerkit
#16
Les,
I looked at a 92 S2 this summer, it had all the documentation including a letter from Andial signed by someone (I think) named Deiter something, stating the car was authentic, black on black. When I saw the add it called it an S2, I thought it was a typo and should have read C2. He corrected me and told me about the car. This one had the same rims as the 3.6 on it. The guy was asking only $45k with 40k miles. very nice car. He claimed the car was producing 350 RWHP. I did not know the specifics of the model at the time and thought the hp numbers were too high. So I hesitated; three days later the car was sold.
Oh well.

I know when I recieve Adrians book I will know more about this car . But I am confused as to why Andial needs to authenticate the car? Am I getting this car confused with the 964 cup cars that were converted by Andial?

Dear Les,
This is all included in my book so I will not go into details but Porsche delivered 20 standard Turbos to Andial for conversion to S2 standard. The only difference on arrival at Andial was that they had the S2 badge on the back. They are like the American Edition Cup 964s, Andial creations.
Ciao,
Adrian

I am truly kicking myself for missing out on that one. Although I can't complain.
No wonder the car sold so fast.

Adrian, thanks for the info. Your book will be here in a few days, at which time I will do my homework. Thats the fantastic aspect to Porsche is all the low volume ultra rare cars available over the years, seems like their is always a new one to learn about!

Dear Les,
Tell me about it. Just when you think you have it all down to the last detail something else springs up at you. Like M718 Turbo 3.6s. What you have to be careful about is that as times passes more and more people try to pass of their "modified Porsche" as factory built.
