Default Fitting 3.6 shocks/springs on a 3.3

Will the 964 3.6 turbo shocks and springs fit on a 964 3.3 turbo ?
I read in Adrians book that there are differences in the suspension between these two cars.

Steffan in theory tou should have a ROW version 3.3 ( Stockholm) Porsche changed suspension components for ROW between the 91-92 3.3 models & the 93 3.6 models mainly to allow for wider wheels ( Not sure how this worked with US models that kept same suspension but fitted 18" wheels )& lower ride height.

If you have not already, refer to Adriaqns book for detailed information on the differences.

Good question though as i think apart from ride hight should be very close to interchangable. ( Not sure 100%)

Can you expand on why the question as most aftermarket upgrades mentioned I have seen for both the 3.3 & 3.6 do not talk about trying to replace with original components?

Cheers

My understanding was the 3.3 suspention was sportier and that Porsche soften things up a bit for the 3.6.

As the 18's would normaly ride rougher it might be that Porsche just softened up the suspention enough to make up for the stiffer riding tires.

Thus, going the other way and putting 3.3 suspention on a 3.6 would make it stiffer than yet a 3.3 w stock 17's and would make some sence as a performance upgrade for the 3.6.

Putting 3.6 stuff on a 3.3 would not make much sence unless you want to soften it up for some reasion.

Again getting the 18's for the 3.3 on the other hand w the 3.3 suspention would be the stiffest of all the combos.

I found a low milage set of 3.6 dampers, but I don't want a softer ride so I guess this was a dead end.
