Default Full bypass

Hello,

I have a 1991 964 turbo. 1 bar wastegate spring and cat bypass. The original muffler is not in good shape so I have just installed a Scart swans neck. The car sounds fantastic, but I have noticed more turbo lag,
Maybe the car need more exhaust back pressure?

Thanks in advance,
Augusto

Hmmm. That doesn't really make sense to me. I've driven my car with a swans neck and it was not laggy-er. Too loud, yes. More laggy? No.
When is the turbo hitting and what altitude do you live at?

At 3.000 rpm, maybe sooner that before. Sea level.

Would be good to compare with somebody else at see level. I'm at 5200 ft so my boost doesn't hit until 3300/3400 ish. 3000 seems about right for sea level but just a guess.
I'll have a better answer in September when I drive to Monterey :-)
