Default Sachs Clutch Kit ?

Looking through things, is this Sachs clutch kit KF79301, the correct one for a DMF 1990 C2?

I'm seeing pricing from $555 to $720

I'm not sure about the kit #, but I got an email today from ebs racing saying that they're liquidating some clutch parts (including 964 dmf) for very low prices. You might get lucky on pricing if you give them a ring.

Good luck!

Yes. EBS is at $578, FCP is pricing that kit at $621.50. BMA Auto Parts (who I have purchased through for BMW parts) is at $555. Pelican at $721. : (

Thanks !!

Great.

Now can anyone confirm that kit indeed works ? The crossreferences show that is good for all 911's (C2 and C4, N/A and Turbo?) from 1990-1998. Can that possibly be correct?

Update: Patrick Motorsports shows that KF 793 01 is correct for the N/A cars ... ... http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/pa...-s-rs-america/

What you'll get would be like mine from RM Euro kit. Your picture shows blue mark for effect as OEM had from Germany. Don't think you will receive PP like in your pic. Mine feels oem like ..

Interestingly the photos I posted were along side the offers for OEM Sachs clutch kits...

Pressure plates are all interchangable, but there are at least 3 strengths of petals. Indicated by a coloured (colored! lol ) dot on the casting. I think the order is turbo/993/964 > weaker. 993 is a good choice for mild upgrade.

Seems like these pressure plates are color coded blue by all the photos I'm seeing. Where might that fit in the continuum?

Thanks!

Default SACHS Clutch Kit

If you're interested, I have an RS clutch kit I bought a couple years ago but didn't use. I only opened the box to check the contents. PM me if interested.

I'm in the process of ordering a clutch kit as well. I've read that w/the Sachs kit from RockAuto the pressure plate is turned down on a lathe (re manufactured) & rust becomes an issue....hence the low price ($483) even though the part# is the same as new. Any truth to this ?

I highly doubt it. Most of these online parts stores like rockauto etc have little to no overhead, drop ship most of their parts, and have a minimum profit margin. Ask yourself, if the part number is the same and its not advertised as remanufactured, why would it be different? Rock auto is a legit company and myself and others have ordered parts from there successfully.

I guess I'm skeptical when a price is very low. Internet fodder lol.
I'll give Rock Auto a go unless I hear otherwise, thanks Eric.
