Nice build doing something similar myself. How is the engine setup a lot of difference compare to stock 3.6?
Anything you would change from that engine setup?

For how I use the car ... I wouldn't change a thing. Since I had to get new pistons and cylinders anyway, bumping up to a 3.8 gave a little more torque and hp.
George at Eurosport Racing did a couple of other tricks (slightly more aggressive cams) to make it more powerful but eminently streetable.
I've taken it out on 2 sessions at the Autobahn but took it easy ... very fun to drive and not worth beating it up.
Changed tow hook to matte black with speed yellow lettering.
Changed rear grill and added 3rd brake light (racing rain light)
Converted rear seat backs to 93 style with push button.
Having a second front bumper cover prepared that has license plate cutout filled in.
I hit a curb at the Ostoff this spring and cracked the rs splitter so that is the motivation.
I'm also having a stock rear deck lid with a basket hoop prepared but I probably won't install that.
I think I may want to go for a Singer style rear deck lid / duck assembly fitted to the existing stock rear decklid.
I also really would like to get a valved exhaust ... I've been hitting up Akropovik to see it they would do a custom Titanium with valve control but it would be expensive ... anyone in for a group buy?
I may start a new thread for that.
I would like it to be quiet when need be then loud when I want, instead of loud all of the time.
I also want to dial in the ac and may go back to the stock motor blower in the back.
The HVAC works reasonably well but I'd like to stretch this car out for 3 & 1/2 season use in the Chicago area.
I just picked up a set of cold weather tires from another Rennlister and will put them on the Fiskes.
The sport cup 2's can be saved for the warmer months.
This is my favorite car that I've ever owned and always prefer to drive it but need to make the HVAC work like 90% of a new car.
I am also considering backing the spring rates from 400 F / 600 R to 250 / 400 although I really don't mind the tighter ride that the JRZs provide.
Eddie , I just posted on my Instagram about an Akrapovic exhaust. I am in. My friend is the distributor in Canada and I am hoping he might also put in a word. PM me and lets talk.
We will have our work to do to get Akropovik to commission building a valved exhaust (Ti) for air-cooled applications.
Here is an email from Alex from June ... maybe we could find a willing participant that has a 964 near Akropovik's r & d center and get the ball rolling.
I'd kick in some dough ... maybe a grand as long as I could get that back with a group buy of some sort.
* Front bumper cover with no license plate cut out for smooth look.
* Carbon fiber hood with exposed carbon stripe.
* Singer style rear pop up decklid ... may not do this but am looking to change out ducktail for a different look next summer.
* Custom 9elevenheadlights Raven S headlights with custom color buckets and clear lenses. Cerakoted trim ring.
(Old flatsix headlights will be for sale)
* New valved exhaust system ... to be Cerakoted
(Old Fabspeed RSR system will be for sale ... has heat exchangers, dual or single outlets, includes headers through tips.)
* Complete AC overall with new lines etc.
* Reinstalling (seasonally) heater blower for 3.5 season driving.
* Refinishing Fiskes to silver centers and mounting Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4.
* Installing 250 front / 400 rear JRZ springs from 400/600.
Considering new Porsche headunit ...
Car has about 4,500 miles and it is running really strong and is a blast to drive.
Looking forward to the next evolution of your amazing 964. Absolutely one of my top three favorite builds.
My ducktail is rather cheesy so I’m having a ducktail built by Stratton Motorsports. I saw one recently and the fit was great. Ill probably add a stock deck lid with the spoiler locked in an up position and no motor as another option.
What front splitters do you have in these pics?
Every time I look at pics of your interior I’m thinking mine is going to look quite pedestrian in comparison. Haha
