Just been getting around to really detailing my latest '93 C2 coup and got to looking @ the lower side moldings/panels. The 2-pieces that are to meet (looking straight down from the rear of the door handles).
I've got as much as 1/4" gap. Looks a little much. Is this normal?, shrinkage? Anyone know what the demension was/is originally?
Bill
They do normally have quite a gap, but 1/4" sounds a bit too much. You can fiddle about with them somewhat. Sometimes enough to almost close the gap altogether.
John B, The side of your car looks new! Well done. (or is it Photo-Shop?
Just kidding.
By the looks of things, limited replys, I guess it's not that far out of wack.
Would'nt the clips/plastic pins prevent movement of the panels, at least the long one?
Bill
I had my panels off this weekend when I removed the AC. I had a 1/4" gap before removal (my wife thought it looked like a poor fit) and no amount of fiddleing would make it much smaller when I re-installed them.
