In mail three I asked if they were offering new pillows free or at a reduced rate for the people who had an issue.

Still waiting on mail 4. (The date on #3 was 11/9/2016). Probably won't go out of my way to buy anything else from them if it can be avoided.
Thanks for letting us know. I bought mine in May of 2013 so I wonder if I have the same compound? I'll make sure I check them when my car comes out of winter hibernation. Please let us know what/if you hear back from Wevo.

I assume it was torqued to Wevo spec?

Absolutely. I'd read the previous threads where the instructions hadn't been followed correctly.

I'm really not expecting to hear back, btw...

I had a similar exchange with ack of the apparent lack of lifespan on the 964, but no support. I just purchased another set of the black pillows to install.

I've yellow cushions on the we've set on my RS and will do blue on the 964.
This is one of those where I'd call them. The guys at windrush are very decent...

Thanks for the heads up. I installed mine in 2009 (wow, that feels like a long time ago), so I'm in the early batch...

BTW, I've been using a mixed set for years. Softer black on the top and stiffer blue on the bottom. I just love the directness of stiffer motor mounts... and wanted just a little more.

Are you running with a main rear muffler or just a straight pipe to the secondary exhaust or ???

The wevo pillow issue is a concern here too. I sent a note to them to ask for more clarification and I hope that they chime in.

Heat from some kind of non-stock exhaust configuration would seem like a valid explanation. Seconding Jason's question- FeralComprehension, what are you running for exhaust?

I installed my wevo mounts with black pillows in 2009. No issues when I last had them out in 2014.

The issue would actually be made worse with the primary exhaust installed. There is a ~1/4 - 1/2" clearance between the top of the center muffler and the engine capsule. Same issue if you try an aftermarket fiberglass engine capsule made with a polyester resin and the stock exhaust. After enough heat-cycles it will droop onto the exhaust. The aftermarket ebay/clauss cast polyurethane intake sleeves are potentially another problem.

Yep, I agree! I'm wondering if he's using some kind of configuration that sits closer to the mounts, rather than the usual bypass parts.

Thanks for your advice and enlightenment guys.
Based on the issues with non OEM parts I decided to go for OEM RS mounts with all new bolts and washers etc from my OPC. I run a standard exhaust apart from a resonated decat pipe.

Should I order the RS gearbox mount to match it all up?

I bought these and replaced my worn out originals using the yellow inserts. This made a huge difference in shifting. Gear lever was real vague and loose before the change. Nice and direct now. I should have done it sooner. Rear end of the car also seems more planted.

Resurrecting an old thread but I am about to pull the trigger on some RS engine mounts.
Can I reuse any of the existing hardware or do I need to buy all new everything?

I have this parts list:
Mounts (x2) 964 375 043 81
Seats (x4) 901 305 311 00
Washers (x4) 999 025 074 02
Bolts (x2) 900 082 030 02
Washers (x4) 999 025 134 02

Can I get away with just buying the items in bold and underlined? The hardware adds considerably to the cost and some of the sellers who have the best price, don't sell the whole list.
