Say what???!!! You sure you want to marry this girl? I kid!!!
No problem, Brian, glad I could help out on your quest. Thankfully my wife loves the 964 except for the fact I don't let her drive it, hahaha!!!

What your GF didn't like it ???? Like they say in the deli line at Bristol Farms.."NEXT". Setting a bad precedent for a long term relationship.

You guys are harsh. LOL. I said the same thing :-)
I'm just lucky, my wife loves the character of the old cars. Including the smell.

Haha thanks guys, but finding a woman like this took way too long to pass on. I learned my lesson about passing large purchases by her. She had no problem with me buying a Porsche but she can't justify spending 964 C2 $$$ as for roughly the same amount purchase a 997 GTS or spend a little more for a GT4.
I wanted to do a suspension overhaul and other mods/maintenance, I get her point of view that its not cheap to get into a 964, then that's only the tip of the iceberg with the costs associated. 964's are costly if you want to restore/modify them and it's hard to justify financially, that's why most of us slide the card and look the other way and don't keep track of it. At the beginning of a marriage, I'd like as little friction as possible with things such as this. I'd also like to do some track days and to get my 964 ready for that, would take a small fortune.
I still plan on attending Luftgekühlt in May, I still love AC cars but now isn't the time for me to own one. I hope to buy a 964 down the road but more than likely the prices will skyrocket when I'm ready to get back into the scene.

Like I said, to get the car to drive the way I wanted would be easily cost $15k in suspension mods. This would be money that I wouldn't get out of the car when selling either. If I buy a GT4 and it depreciates $15k, it's the same difference. Cars aren't investments, enjoy the cars you drive and regardless they're going to cost money.

Brian-
Your car found a great new owner here in the PNW, he will love and improve the car as you would have. I will keep a caretakers eye on it for you! Now go get a GT4!

Just be sure you get comfortable seats in that GT4....
