Old thread and the OP has already repainted his 964 to a very nice grey colour.
A couple of weekends ago my local Porsche club had a show and shine whereby the cars were grouped by colour.
My car's version of slate grey cause some confusion. Some wanted to put it with the blacks, some with the browns and some with the greys.
Different colour depending on the light.

Very nice I love the color, I remember I had a lightweight trunk lid on the Subaru that was after the repaint and the color was so off when I came to pick it up the shop owner was shaking his head. He ordered the paint from the same supplier as before. They had to redo the trunk lid and it still wasn't quite the same.
That's how slate gray is, very complex color. And yes old thread from 2016 but I see it has a pulse, some very nice cars in here.

Here is an overhead photo of the PCACWR (Porsche Club America Canada West Region) event titled "Shades of Stuttgart". There were over 200 Porsches of various colours. It was an incredible event.
