Dear Paul,
Any of the Porsche tuner places. Check out the rennlist sponsors like GHL first. Go to the main site www.rennlist.com and click on their logo.
RUF or FVD are good sources if our sponsors cannot help,
Ciao,

Can't help much with chrome. On the other hand, the attached picture of the world's first carbon ceramic/carbon fiber tailpipe (as of yet not trimmed to the correct length) might be of interest.

Paul,

I think your best bet is to polish your Factory pipe. I believe black is the only finish available through Porsche and I tried a less expensive tip replacement from Type-911 which yellowed after a few months. The Cargraphic tip is especially nice and sounds brilliant, but for 500 USD it better add 50 hp as well!

If the refurbish idea sounds appealing, try a Search on the 993 board. Polishing tips seems to be a popular pastime and there are several posts in which members explain the process.

Paul,

In the UK try Design 911 (www.design911.co.uk) £99+VAT or Type 911 (www.type-911.co.uk) £95+VAT.

Paul,

I tried polishing mine as had been suggested before, but it was not stainless, more a zinc plated or galvenized piece, i know because it changed colour after a couple of months :-(

I ended up painting mine with Black Smoothrite (like hammerite), only because the contrast between red and black is better than between red and silver.

And yes it is polishable to a nice sheen and yes it is still intact, all of it.

Kevin.
