How rare is my 964?

You can subtract 60 cars from the 1608 US spec C2's. No vin numbers from 001 to 060 were used. That said Mint green is a very rare color. Only a handful or two were painted in mint green. No doubt being a tip drops the numbers down even more so.
I came across a mint green 91 coupe black interior back in 2001 I almost purchased until I found out it was a tip. I am a die hard manual driver. Nothing wrong with tip cars I have friends with them due to the same reasons as you. The one I looked at did not have the basket handle third light was that added? I doubt it was the same car since the one I saw back in 2001 was pristine and had less than 1000 miles on it but it is possible.
So we know most likely yours is not the only one but could be one of two or not much more. Good Luck with the respray. Color change is more work no doubt but you look like you're on your way.

JohnK964 just wanted to add that a tip itself is not a problem at all - I understand the sentiments craving for a manual but this being the first tippy Porsche actually presents in itself a lot of comfort and smoothness as well. congrats on finding a keeper.

Don't forget that Porsche had a sportomatic long before the tip trans came along.

Yes I am aware of that but correct me if I am wrong I think the sportomatic relies on a different kind of technology (you need to press onto the **** in order to shift) whereas for tippy you don't have to.

I've only seen one Mint Green 964, and it was a 92 C2 Coupe that was in the display at the Rennsport Reunion 2 in the 911 display. My guess is yours is probably pretty rare.

Thank you I have never seen another 964 😁 But then I live in the Black Hills of SD I'm sure there probably some in Sioux Falls on the other side of the state. 964s are way cool😎
