Default Cup pipe - one or two pieces

Hi,
is there any major pro or con to go for the one piece cup pipe instead of the two pieces?
And are there any major difference between the "cheap" ones and the "expensive" ones?

One piece:

Ive got a 2 pice FVD one, no issues, but I imagine it is slightly easier to fit than the 1 piece

1 piece has the advantage of no potential leaks from the join, but nothing else AFAIK

Thanks, that's what I was thinking as well.

Now I need to understand if it does make sense to pay the premium price that, for instance, Superprint is asking against some "cheap" ebay JP?Dansk solutionsuper

It's just a piece of pipe, I would go for the cheaper one.

Yep, it's just a pipe.... I had a buddy just cut out the primary muffler.
You could probably have it done for less than $100. (keeps the bend and attachment flanges stock)

I have it in one piece since 2001 and no issue, it's also very easy to mount it.
I don't see the advantage to have it in 2 pieces.

Only advantage to 2 piece is shipping and possibily production costs for the manufacturer

I'd like not to go with this "drastic" solution, since I'd like to be able to fit back the original with no hassle.

The only advantage I see it's cheaper than the one piece.

To mount it, do I need to remove the engine undertray?

Yes. I have a straight single pice 'cup' pipe. Have never had the untertray on either. End of the day, there is nothing special about one stright thru pipe over another - other than a nice easy installation and fit. It's a pipe, nothing else imho.

Yes you remove the under tray, and in my opinion no need to put it back (but keep it, you will maybe need it for the technical inspection).
I removed it more than 16 years ago and kept it in my garage.

Even for the official technical inspection I don't put it. They have never asked anything.
I have also the Cup tube during the inspection, but in my case it has the same color as the rest of the exhaust. So they don't see the difference

Always Lausanne. They have never seen or told me something about the Cup pipe and the missing under tray
