Default Bilstein HD 993 to 964

Hello gents,

I have a set of HD's off my 96 993 C2 (shocks bought in 2007; now have about 35k miles on them). I would like to install them on my 90 964 C2. Per Steve W. the fronts are doable, the rears might require adapters. Didn't get a clear answer from a Bilstein rep other than the shock lengths are slightly shorter on the 993 ?
Has anyone done this swap ?
Does anyone have a Bilstein contact person who could answer this ?

Thanks

If you are willing to wait about 6 weeks you can have my HDs in exchange.
Mine are less than 20k miles old.
My car is also a 1990 C2

I see you are in Germany. Shipping might be expensive for both of us.
I'll keep you in mind if I don't source any in the near future.
Would like to somehow make the ones I have work.....

I would reach out to Gert Carnewal in Belgium. carnewal.com

He is very wise about these cars and even knew about the special requirements of my '89 C4 (basically the rear shocks have a different mounting point because from 1990-forward the mount changed because of cabriolets and Targas being added). I bought my Bilstein HD's and H&R springs from him and his prices were so good I could not have done better here in the States. Also very responsive and I got an email back very quickly considering the time difference.
