When ordering a new 964 in the options list you had the option to have the model designation removed / not fitted - Porsche were generous enough to not charge its customers for this. 'No cost'
I believe this option, M498, was available on all 964's, I have an original price list from 1991 where it is listed.
can you post your original price list from 1991. just wondering if its different from the 1990 one by 540964.
I recently had the 3 holes filled from removing the E.T. 3rd brake light on te top of the deck lid. The paint shop forgot to order a new script so I went naked for about a week. I almost told them to forget it but there was an ever so small demple were the script had been. If not for that I would have left it off. Very clean look.
