Default Draining fuel

I was hoping someone knows how to drain old fuel and prime the pump and lines with new fuel before first engine startup after rebuild and 2 year old fuel in the lines.

I have drained the fuel through the fuel sender port, but I would like to prime the lines and fuel filter with fresh fuel before first start.

One thing I have done in the past on other cars was to run the pump and drain the fuel directly out of the fuel supply line at engine end. Once the fuel stops flowing I would fill with new fuel and prime the lines.

Does the fuel pump primes on engine startup until pressurized?

Thanks!
Andrew

Fuel only primes while the engine is cranking. You can jump the DME relay to run the fuel pump though

You can drain the fuel by disconnecting the fitting from the tank to the on the fuel pump. It comes out pretty fast, so put a vice grips on the fuel line, so you can control the flow. Keep anything like a hot drop light out of the way.
