Porsche blue paint colors / history?
So, this is for a bicycle....looking at some ideas for blue paint - I am looking for a vivid, middle-weight blue. Deeper than gulf, but not as dark/cold as a navy, and maybe on the warmer, slightly greenish side. I seem to hear about a number of "historic" Porsche blues, from racing liveries or other iconic models. And, there are the graphite blue metallic and miami blue on the current lineup.
Is there a good resource on these blues from Porsches past?
Also - of course, I had to look at the Singer cars, and had to ask - is there a significance to the blues on the San Diego or Montana cars?
Much thanks

Here's a good place to start http://teamspeed.com/forums/porsches...d-porsche.html
FWIW, maritime blue is one of my personal favorites.

Cleveland car looks pretty close to Oslo (one of my favorites.)
The San Diego color I don't recall seeing before on a 911, but I think it just became another favorite...
EDIT: I got curious, it looks to be similar to Crystal and/or Enamel Blue, but the shades of each vary significantly depending on what picture you look at.

Yes! it's become a bit of a detective hunt. They are so beautiful, though.
They have a new one up on their Facebook page, the Topanga car. That one and the San Diego one have become my favorites....if I could get close to this color, I'd be totally happy...
(Edit: Mexico blue? It looks a little darker hued than that...https://rennlist.com/forums/11041707-post59.html)
Topanga

I think they did state their specific paints are proprietary, as I suspect some sort of custom mixing based on customer preference, and they are by definition high-dollar restorations so that is understandable.
