Default D90 Repaint and refurb

Have any of you guys had your D90's repainted, mine are chipped and slightly corroded.

I have them Booked in for Monday for a refurb, the shops says they acid dip them, then use filler to fill the dents etc, then they Powder Coat Paint.

Is this the correct process ? I would hate to do the wrong thing

Any Help appreciated

( I have tried searching back posts, but does not seem to bring up anything for me)

I don't know about refinishing. But I did try to spray then with DYC vinyl. It came out nice and a look I was going for. "Fuchs" style D90s.

They look great! What size tires are you running?

Any suggestions on where to get center caps for these and not pay 100 bux?
Mine seem to be missing. Not urgent as they are 'winter' wheels but would be nice to have.
Thanks!

Metal ones? I guess I should have stated that is my preference. I can re-finish them if they aren't in good shape. I've been looking on ebay but most want 20-40 a piece...yowza that's like almost what my D90's are worth :P j/k

No, sorry, These are plastic. You'll likely need to open the wallet for metal ones. Good luck and let us know if you find any deals.

I dropped mine off this morning for refurbishment also. Your procedure seems correct, there is nothing unique or mysterious about these D90's so a strip and fill plus powder coat or 2-pac will be fine.
I've got a local body shop doing mine, they did my Cup I's also and this was the procedure, happy with the outcome.

Does the 10mm spacer have lugs?
Thanks.
