Evidently this H4 version comes without a "dust cover" which can be purchased for an additional $10 or so. Did you get the dust covers as well? If not, do you think perhaps you should have done so?

Hey Danny,

Are these the LED units from Flat 6 or the HID's.

I'm thinking about jumping on the LED units and was curious what you thought of the light temperature. Francois mentioned the LED's had a "cooler" color light than the HID's, and I didn't want them to be too blue (6000k). I'm looking for that 4300k color light that comes factory on most HIDs.

Anyone who got fluted lenses care to share their experiences? I was talking to 9eleven headlights and he wasn't too keen on LED behind fluted lenses. Trying to find a balance between modern light output and not having the front of my car look like some sort of frog on acid

Frog on acid lol...

I'd like to hear any experiences on this as well. I planned on going with Flat 6 LED's with Fluted lenses (trying to keep a factory look).

i know right! Super funny cause it's so true.

This is exactly why I've held off on the purchase. Not convinced the projectors work as designed with the fluted lenses. I may just try it because frog on acid or not I sure could use more visibility than I'm getting with the H4's

With the LED upgrade will you still retain the high/low beam functionality? I recently picked up a 964 and with my bad eyes the old halogens don't work for me when I drive it at night a few times a week. Thanks in advance for the input!

I got the flat6 fluted lenses see post 25 of this thread. To keep true OEM look don't order them with the angel eye option you see on mine. They do look nice switched on but it detracts from OEM whether on or off in.my view. Great product though.

Flat 6 units. Super happy with colour and illumination. Great service. Had primed rings painted. These are a touch flimsy.

Hard to capture but nice colour. Cheers Mark

Frog on acid... super funny, and also the reason I ordered from Flat6. I like the look. I guess there’s no accounting for taste! I’ll post pictures after they are installed.

Looks great! I guess we can't re-use the oem rings?

Oh ok. Thanks for the info! I'm still a newbie learning all that there is about my car. This is definitely one of my first upgrades to help with my old eyes lol.
