Default 996TT brakes

So I had a couple of 996TT calipers on the shelf, and since 996TT discs are very cheap compared to 993TT i decided to try to see if they would fit, since 996tt disc hat is shallower, meaning caliper would come closer to the spokes on the rims.

It turned out 996TT caliper is narrower than a 964, so all in all the caliper only came out maybe half a cm, forgot the measurement.
Caliper is just zip tied to the hub, I'm making CAD models of the parts to see if I can fit them together with an adapter plate

I had this setup on my 964 until a few weeks ago however i'm sure mine used 965 discs as the offset is better suited , the discs are also very cheap. A friend who is does a lot of machining work made me some adaptors. Must admit it was a very cost effective way of getting big brakes on the front of my car. A later upgrade to 993 rs uprights meant that i had to change calipers so made the switch to 993tt calipers and discs which unfortunately cost at least four times as much! Ive got the old setup to sell if anyone wants it?

Any idea if the base 996 caliper would use the same mount with a smaller rotor? There are plenty of those lying around.
