Glad you found the problem and yes, you can replace the lines yourself.

If flying "there" means San Jose, Elephant is about 3 minutes from the airport. If you spoke to them in advance, they could probably have them done for you in a day. And yes, when you remove the lines from the thermostat housing there will be a mess. The rocker panel also has to be removed. Good luck!

Pulling those lines, you will find them very unwieldy as they are connected to two long hardlines which connect to the thermostat just ahead of the right rear wheelwell. Not something you are taking on a plane....

Big tools required; wrenches in 30 and 36mm IIRC. I got both off Amazon, the 36 is a Sun crows foot and the 30(?) is the cheapest one I could find.

Should be 32mm and 36mm, as I recall.

yes, 32mm and 36mm, but a 10in. and 12in crescent wrench will work on those connections if used correctly - disconnect and remove outside tubing, then remove adapter, that opens up room to disconnect inner tubing.

I have a 32mm wrench which fits the smaller nut, I suppose the bigger one should be 36mm which I still need to buy.
