Leather or vinyl??
I was cleaning up my car yesterday and, for the interior, had leather and vinyl treatments. Some covering is obviously vinyl (I think) other leather. Anyone know which is which on a 90 C4? I couldn't distinguish one for the other on some surfaces.
Thanks,
Dan

mostly its the seat surfaces unless you have extended leather or other options for additional leather.
leather conditioner isn't going to hurt vinyl but you really don't want to use vinyl conditioner on leather.

My front seat surfaces, shift **** and boot, and steering wheel cover are leather, everything else (including the rear seat covers) is vinyl. I too have a '90 C4.

Stock interiors without options have leather seat faces front seats only the back & sides of the seats are vinyl along with everything else except the steering wheel and shift boot which are leather. Options will show if you have full leather front, full leather rear, raff or supple leather seat faces (only available on full leather seating). Other parts could be ordered in leather. Usually you will see exclusive option code 09991. It doesn't pertain to any one piece so it is a guessing game. My turbo has it and my center console, side door pulls along with the side pocket covers are all leather. You could have everything including light switches or face gauges covered if you were willing to pay through the nose.
You can clearly tell the difference between the leather and vinyl. If you look at the seat bolster faces and compare it to the rest you will see what I mean. The rear seat bottoms will have a faux grain that is fake looking also.

Thanks. My console looked like leather to me, but I couldn't tell definitively. I'll check option codes which I found are numerous.
