Default Castrol 10/60

I bought 20ltrs of Castrol 10/60 today some of the oil is badged 10/60 RS
and I got a few litres badged TWS..

Is the TWS the same as good old RS ??

I was told they are the same oil..

I don't know - but I'd be interested to know if it smells like Castrol R. Love it!

10w60 OIL is good use, especially on track, the '60' is the visc. in hot condition, so it will be more then safe fot your engine.
Engine oil is getting better every year, because of the development/tests they make at the lab.

So...I think you have bought a very good oil!

Castrol is what BMW re-labels as their oil. I went through this when I became concerned about the dark color of the oil in my wife's BMW. This oil is much darker than Mobil 1. Maybe you will be able to read your dipstick for the first time. BTW they also have a 15,000 mile change interval.

no!

the TWE and the RS are NOT the same oils...
the TWS can take significantly more pressure:

Castrol Formula RS SAE 10W-60: 6.800 kg/cm²
Castrol TWS Motorsport SAE 10W-60: 17.800 kg/cm²
