I did the 993 brakes upgrade on my 964 and I am having ptoblems with the ABS system. It seems to lock too soon when braking hard, for example, at the end of the main straight in circuits.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Thank you all!

What you need to remember is that the ABS system doesn't lock the wheels up, that's the job of the calipers and discs. The ABS system only releases the brake momentarily so the tyre can regain grip! We need to know how much front camber have you got and what rear calipers have you got, I'm assuming you have 993tt calipers in the front? Also front tyre size will make a difference as well.

Pads?
Is your abs functional?
Do you have proportion valve still?

There are several possibilities
1) did you retain the 45 tooth 964 ABS ring? or use the 48 tooth 993 ring?
2) did you upgrade the master cylinder to a 23.8mm 993 version? If not the under sized m/c can contribute to that sort of problem
3) are all the ABS wheel sensors and wiring functional?
