One of mine has a crack and a chip that looks like a bullet hole but it didn't fail it's MOT. I also can't justify the cost of replacing the whole unit, if I'm going to spend the money I might as well put a set of brake cooling ducts in place as long as I can come up with a satisfactory way of getting them to do something other than be a cosmetic change.

Mine just went through the MOT with a cracked fog lamp, I was told as long as it is not adanger to anyone else it will pass (only applies to the fogs)! Looks like alot of us are in the same position. When you can get 'brake ducts' for £50 a pair, £70 for one lamp seems excessive when it's likely to get broken again.

Richard,
You can get protective film to stick over your lights to protect them against further bullet wounds. Worthwhile if it can save you the cost of new lights at a later time.
