question on metallic pads
I just had the pleasure to rest drive a RUF tuned and well taken cared of 90 C2. car drives great. However during slow drives along some boulevards or slow turns, I hear squeeks/squeels. the mechanic that went along with me said that it's the metallic pads that's installed. So it squeels eventhough the brakes are not applied?
thanks.
Many pad compounds WILL squeal with light pressure - but only under light braking - hard braking should silent - but effective.
Brake squeal (IF that's what it is) without any pressure suggests the pads aren't flaoting in the calipers properly - requiring cleaning/replacement at least - calliper rebuild at most.
