Default Windshield popped off

I need some help. So shortly after my repaint I took my car for a drive and noticed that my windshield has popped off. Looks like it was caused from the pressure of closing the door. The body shop is legit and they were gonna end out their glass guy to repair it.

What they told me was they reused the old seal which looked good or else they would have purchased a new seal. Second they said that the windshield is not glued in but pressure fitted with the seal.

I dont want this happening again. All of my previous cars had glued in windows. So is it true that the windsheild is not glued in?

Lastly, Can anyone please provide the correct OEM part number for the windshield seal? I want to make sure I have the Porsche OEM part.

Many thanks in advance

Correct, the windshield is held in place by the seal on these cars. Sounds to me that they just didnt get the seal to lock in properly.

It can happen. Especially if they used some sort of lube to help the refitting (common). I always use a little soapy water when refitting this type of screen (front or rear). Good idea to fit a new one as major source of water ingress.

Be sure to get the Porsche seal, not the aftermarket, as they don't really fit.

Curious too if you've got the right venting? Sometimes when you close the door you can hear the ventilation flaps/vents clank, which means they're reacting to the rush of air. Are your vents open or blocked? (Just wondering if the air pressure of closing a door has an effect?)

My Ac vents are open. But I do think it's related partially to the pressure of closing the doors because when I slam the door shut I see the windshield move. But I figure all cars have that issue and the seal should be strong enough to hold the windshield in place.

The glass is glued to the seal and then the seal is attached to the body with adhesive. HERE are the instructions from Porsche. It is most definitely NOT pressure fitted when installed correctly.

It sounds like your cabin pressure flaps aren't functioning. You should definitely hear the clanking of these flaps when opening/closing the doors.

I believe they are behind the rear seat side panels below the rear side windows. Not 100% sure, as I have never seen them, but that's where the sound seems to come from.

Are these the same as the heater flapper valve?

These are under the car, right in front/above the rear control arms. They are aluminum boxes that are attached to flexible air hoses. You'll have to look up underneath. They don't really go bad... but you might see something.
